Bimetal Cable Joint Joints

Bimetal Cable Joint Joints Bimetal Cable Joint Joints

Bimetal lugs are used when aluminum busbars need to be terminated with copper busbars or contacts. These cable lugs are produced by friction welding process. Aluminum and copper conductors can be connected between the two materials in a dry environment without destructive oxidation. The same principle is used to attach aluminum cables to copper cables using friction weld ferrules.
